Once all the spots are filled, auditions will be closed and no new applications will be accepted.
Please ensure that you have reviewed the FAQ Document below. it includes all the important information about the show, including rehearsal and performance details. All rehearsals are mandatory. If your child cannot commit to all rehearsals and performances, we ask that they do not audition so that other kids who can commit have the opportunity to sign up.
YOUR AUDITION:
Auditions will be done individually and each child will only have a 5 minute window to present. Their audition should have three pieces:
1- Introduction- tell us your name and some cool stuff about yourself. We just want to get to know you!
2- Song- your song should be from a Musical or Disney movie and should show off your singing ability. Prepare a verse and a chorus (about 1 minute of the song) and don't forget that you should be acting while you sing!
3- Monologue- a monologue is a short speech from a movie or a play. A quick google search of "monologues for young actors" will give some great options! Find something that connects with you and start memorizing! Think about the actions and reactions your character would have and plan out how you will act it out then, start practicing!
AUDITION DAY:
Please make sure you are on time for your scheduled audition.
Once you've arrived, check in with our desk and then focus on relaxing. Nerves are probably at their peek right now, but believe in yourself and trust that you have done the work to prepare yourself for a great audition!'
Don't forget to speak and sing loudly!
Confidence is important and when you project your voice in a clear fashion, it shows you are confident in your performance. I promise you, if you give us a confident performance, you will have us cheering!
Personality is key!
We really want to see your personality shine through in your audition, so make sure you are well prepared so you are confident and ready to shine! Don't be afraid to show us what makes you special and pick songs and monologues that you love so it's easier to prepare and feel comfortable.
It's all about having fun!
Although putting on a show is a lot of work, it's also a lot of fun. So you audition should show us you can both focus (by being really prepared for your audition) as well as let loose (by showing us your stagey side) !
